Athento offers different options to search for documents.
Advanced search
The Advanced search offers a document list as well as a set of filters that allow searching for criteria such as:
- Space
- Form
- Words contained in fields or document text
- Fields
The Advanced search offers support for complex nested filters (AND, OR filters). It also supports human-friendly operators such as "exact match", "contains", "starts with", etc.

Search by form
Each form offers a tab where you can filter documents by any of the available fields. In this screen, you can see the fields as columns.
From here you will also be able to:
- Hide, show, and sort columns.
- Export results as an Excel or CSV file.
- Share a search filter by sharing a URL.
Search via API
Our API REST supports advanced searches.
Suggestions search
The fastest way to find a document in Athento is to use the search suggestion at the top of the screen.
By opening the drop-down to the right of the search engine, you will be able to access the latest documents created.
Queues
Unlike the previous options, which are designed for filters that constantly change, the queues are meant to group documents by fixed criteria. For example, a queue can group all the documents assigned to a user, all the documents in a certain state, etc.
Their use is recommended for queries that do not change and to quickly access documents that meet specific criteria.
