Athento has several types of fields, to make it possible to record different types of data.
For example, if you want to record dates, you must create a field of type "Date".
of type "Date". You can see the available data types list when creating a new field.
Available field types
| Type | Description |
| Text | Alfanumeric information |
| Number | Numbers |
| Date time | Dates and hours |
| Date | Only dates. |
| Text area | Long text |
| Boolean | Allows you to check or uncheck a field. Internally, the data is stored as True (checked) o False (unchecked). |
| Link | Stores a URL. |
| Button | Adds a button to a form |
| File | Allows linking to another document in Athento. More info |
| Autoincrement | Auto-increment allows a unique number to be generated automatically when a document is created into Athento. |
| Table of items | Stores tabular information, organized in rows and columns. |
| Choice | List of options where the user can only select one option |
| Multichoice | List of options where the user can select several options |
| Stores an email address | |
| Code | Reads QR or bar codes |
Subtypes of fields
A list of options can be of several types of data. You can set the field subtype from the field configuration.
