Tool Availability Monitoring
Athento's cloud service is actively monitored to ensure proper performance.
The 24x7 software is used for monitoring. This tool allows us to control the availability and status of the infrastructure, as well as the availability of the instances of our cloud clients.
Athento monitors:
- The performance of our HTTPS, DNS, SSL, POP, URLs and API services from over 60 global locations (or through wireless carriers) and within a private network.
-
Service interruptions and their root cause.
-
Server status (memory, CPU, disk usage, etc).
-
Performance degradations.
-
Critical network devices such as routers, switches and firewalls.
-
Response times
Remember to check the SLA conditions that apply to your user account.
How can I get information about the status of the platform?
You can visit:

Your Athento may have another URL specific to your company. Ask the Athento support team for your Status URL.
Automated tests to check the availability of services and accessibility of the platform.
Athento uses external services to monitor the availability of the API, as well as the correct access to the application. These tools allow configuring automatic tests that work day and night and alert the Athento team in case of any unusual event.
Some of these tools are:
- Ghost Inspector: We use this tool to perform automated login tests to the platform. A robot is in charge of following the same steps that a user would follow when trying to log in to the application. If the login page is not found or the login takes too long, this application will inform us of possible availability problems.
- Runscope: This application helps us to monitor that our APIs or web services are returning correct results.
Other Tools Used for System Monitoring
In addition, Athento's service has a series of tools that allow detecting errors and incidents on the application, monitoring the user experience, following up on the registration of new users, etc.
Some of these tools are:
- Sentry: This tool sends us e-mails with information about error traces. Errors are monitored in real time, so we get information to reproduce errors and correct them.
- Hotjar: We use this tool to understand how Athento users work with the software, what are the most used features or those that cause confusion to users.
