Athento allows imports of the configuration of the spaces between instances. It also allows the import of isolated elements such as forms or queues. To make passes between productive and pre-productive environments, it is useful to be able to compare both configurations.
The comparison can be made from the space list view. By clicking on the "Import" button you can access the "Compare remote space" option.
In the pop-up window, select the space you want to compare.
Once the space is selected, Athento will show us the differences between the space configurations in both instances.
We will observe 3 sections:
- Local: Data of the space in the current instance.
- Comparison: Comparison between the current instance and the instance from which the space will be imported.
- Remote: Data of the space in the remote instance.
This view shows only the general data and configurations of the space. If we want to compare specific objects (forms, queues, etc.) we must click on the drop-downs that appear just above the comparison.
Next to the objects that appear in the drop-downs we will see a label to determine if the object is new or has been deleted.
If next to the object there is a label "New" it means that it is an object that has been created in the remote instance and if the import is performed it will be created in the current instance.
If next to the object is labeled "Deleted" it means that the object was deleted in the remote instance and when importing it will be deleted in the current instance.
When accessing an object from the drop-downs, you will see the comparison between those two objects. We can always go back by clicking on any element of the breadcrumb displayed above the buttons.
