Athento allows you to extract content from documents and save it as a value of a field using extraction templates. For number type fields, when extracting the value we must indicate the decimal separator used for the documents. Without indicating this value the extraction cannot be performed correctly.
To indicate the decimal separator of the extracted values we must go to the template where we want to define it and modify the configuration for the specific field on which we want to apply the configuration.
Once the decimal separator is selected, the extraction for number type fields will work correctly (as long as the extracted value can be converted to a number).
Additionally, if you want to modify the decimal separator value massively you can execute the command "set_metadata_definition_number_decimal_separator". This command receives 3 parameters:
- decimal_separator: required. Decimal separator to be used to update the field extraction settings. The options are "comma" and "dot".
- series: Optional. Name of the space, used to filter the field extraction configurations of the forms of the indicated space, which will be modified.
- document_type: Optional. Name of the form, used to filter the extraction configurations of the fields, of the indicated form, that will be modified.
python manage.py set_metadata_definition_number_decimal_separator --decimal_separator <separator>
