Managing duplicate documents

By default, Athento does not prevent a document from being uploaded multiple times.

However, once the document has been uploaded, Athento can tell us if the document already exists in the system. To obtain this information, the Check document duplicated automation task must be installed in the space.

This automation task allows you to check if a document already exists by one of the following methods:

• By document title: checks if a document with the same title already exists in the system.
• By a field considered unique: in this case, an identifier field that should not be repeated in the system is indicated, for example, a national ID.
• By all fields: this option compares all the fields of the document, if there is another document in which all the fields have the same value, it will consider the document as a duplicate.

Once we have detected the documents as duplicates, it is possible to activate automatic execution tasks for the deletion of these documents.
