How to configure automatic field extraction?

For the fields of a document to be extracted automatically, the operation available in the automation library “Extract metadata quickly” must be activated during automatic processing.

This operation allows to execute the extraction of metadata (of all metadata or those indicated in the operation configuration) from the document at a moment of the process that can be:

• During automatic processing. For this, the operation must be activated in some of the automatic processing phases.
• From the modification of a field, so that the extraction of another field is executed.
• At the change of the life cycle, so that some fields are extracted at that moment.
• From a button type metadata, so that specific fields are extracted at that moment.

For example, in the processing of an invoice, where we have extraction templates configured, this operation should be activated in an automatic processing phase after the OCR extraction.

Extraction of all metadata

If the metadata extraction operation is required to perform a complete extraction (as long as the metadata has an extraction configured) of all the metadata of the document, you only have to activate the operation in the corresponding processing phase and when it is executed (automatically or manually from a button, field, status change...) the system will perform an extraction of all the fields of the document.
