Frequently asked questions about auto-incremental fields

• When it reaches the limit, e.g. 99999999999 this counter value will increase by one figure? Or what happens?

R/ I would continue the following, i.e.: 1000000000

• When the year changes does the counter reset and start at 0 again?

A/ Yes, at the beginning of a new year, the counter is reset.

For example, if I have a field with structure FATCA-21-000000001 and at the end of the year (December 31) this consecutive is FATC-21-000000999 at the beginning of the next year (January 1) the counter would start from (0) FATC-22-000000000.
