An image field allows you to store an image associated with the document. The images stored in this type of field can be used in Word and Excel document templates.
Creating an image field
To create an image field, navigate to the fields tab of the corresponding form. Click the button to add a new field.
Name the field, select the Image type, and click the create button.
The field for adding an image will appear in documents using this form.
Using an image field
In the document view, click on the field where you want to add the image. In the browser, locate and select the image you want to upload. The chosen image will be saved in the field.
You can view the image in a larger size by hovering your mouse over the image.
To update the image, click the button on the right side of the image and select another image from the browser.
Using an image field to generate .docx and .xlsx documents:
To include an image field in a Word or Excel document, add the field to the template just like any other field. You can learn how to generate .docx and Excel documents from templates here.
Note: The image size remains unchanged. Images from image fields are added to the generated document with the same size they were added to the field.
