Does Athento offer support for DICOM images?

Athento offers support for storing and previewing .DCM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) images. This format stores medical images along with patient information. Athento allows the conversion to JPG of these images so that they can be previewed from the platform, as well as extraction of the information associated with the image.

To work with .DCM files, Athento provides two automation tasks, op_convert_dicom_to_jpg and op_extract_dicom_metadata. The first one converts the image to JPG format which is previewed natively in Athento and the second one extracts as External metadata the image properties. These properties can be consulted from the document features.
