Athento allows you to manage permissions individually for each document and folder. It is possible to set a permission for a group and apply it to a series, so that the group has the specified permission for all documents and folders in that series. You can also assign different permissions to each document and folder individually.
Configuration
Previous configuration
For proper functioning of the permissions per object, the configuration variable "APPLY_OBJECT_PERMISSIONS_TO_ALL_TEAMS" must be active or the name of the team (team name property) must be in the configuration variable "TEAMS_TO_APPLY_OBJECT_PERMISSIONS".
Configuration in the space
To do this, the “Per document permissions” option must be activated in the “Information” tab of a space. It can only be activated and deactivated by superusers.
Operation of permissions per document
Once the permissions have been activated, they will be applied for each document and folder separately. Permissions will have to be granted for each user and group for each document and folder individually.
Automation for the management of permissions per document
Athento has some automatisms to facilitate the management and assignment of these permissions per document:
- Assign permissions per document based on a “Group" field.
- Assign permissions per document based on a “User” field.
Display of permissions for each user and group
For documents, users who have administrative permissions on the document will be able to see what permissions it has from the main document view.
For the folders, users who have administration permissions on it will be able to see what permissions the folder has from the navigation.
