On some occasions, we will need to execute operations on a set of documents.
To do so, it is necessary to:
Create a set of operations
Go to the "Admin toolbox" option.
2. Once there, click on "New bulk operation".
3. Type in a name for the set of operations and press the button to save.
Once the set of operations has been created, you will appear in its configuration directly.
Configure the set of operations
Configure the document filter
Configure the filter that will select the documents on which the set of operations will be executed. Once configured, press the save button.
You can also preview the documents obtained with the configured filter on which the operations will be executed.
Configuring the operations and their order of execution
To configure the operations, type in the selector to search for the operation to be executed. To add new operations, click on the add an operation button. The operations will be executed in descending order, just as they are being displayed.
Once the operations have been configured, click on the save button.
Additionally, it is possible to filter the operations to be selected by space/s, indicating it in the following selector.
For bulk operations to run, you must configure the launch_bulk_work command as described in How to schedule automatic tasks?
Schedule the set of operations for execution
Test the set of operations
It is possible to test the set of operations configured by clicking on the "Test execution" button.
The modal displays the two documents on which the set of operations will be tested. Click the button to confirm the execution on these two documents. You can click on the documents to view them.
Schedule the set of operations for execution
Once the configuration is finished, click on the button to schedule the execution of the set of operations.
It must be taken into account that the operations will not start executing directly, there is a process that is activated periodically and that is in charge of executing it.
Pausing the set of operations
You can pause the scheduled execution at any time.
If the operation set is not executing, it will simply exit the execution queue.
If the set of operations is currently executing, the process will be interrupted, in which case you will be warned that the operations are currently executing.
