Is personal data sent to Zoho?
The data sent to Zoho will depend on the nature of the documents and information that the customer stores in Athento. If there is personal data in your documents, you can choose not to share it with Zoho. It is also possible to pseudomize the data so that it cannot be linked to individuals. The pseudonymization strategy will depend on the nature of the data. Ask the project team or support team for your specific case.
Where is the data processed from?
The company as well as the data centers they use are located in The Netherlands, therefore within the European Union.
Has Athento verified Zoho's compliance with data protection and information security?
Zoho has multiple security mechanisms/practices in place (such as permissions and access management, encryption of communications, backups, security policies, risk analysis, personal data marking, encryption at rest, etc.).
