OCR Extraction

Athento allows you to extract text from standard format documents. The OCR functionality allows reading text from an image (PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, etc.) and converting it to text that can be read and processed by computers. 

Athento uses its own OCR engine, but it is possible to use other OCR, OMR, or ICR engines as the automation tasks design allows to completely decouple the OCR engine or even use several at the same time. Among the different engines are Abby OCR SDK, OpenText RecoStar.
