How does Athento process documents?

Unlike other document managers, Athento includes by default the ability to process documents to add a higher level of automation. There are more than 200 document processing operations.

Documents are processed in 4 phases:

1. Document analysis.
2. Document classification.
3. Metadata extraction.
4. Document validation.

At each stage, a number of operations can be configured such as page calculation, OCR extraction, barcode reading, etc.

After the last validation phase, a non-automatic phase is performed, which we call "post-validation" or manual validation.
