To protect the security of the service and data, Athento asks users to verify the devices from which the platform is accessed. That is, Athento saves the access data (web browser, operating system, IP address, etc.) of a user and will alert the user via email notification when this data changes, so that the user can recognize any suspicious access attempt to his account.
Device verification can be configured at the level of:
- all users
- administrator users only (access to advanced administration).
By default, device verification is only mandatory for administrator users.
How to verify my device?
After accessing Athento you will see a screen like the one shown below.
Log in to your email. Athento will send you an email like the one below. Pay attention to the browser and operating system you are using to access Athento. You can also check your IP address, as well as the date and time of access.
Click on "Confirm new device" only when you recognize the access data. You can also copy the numeric code that appears in the email and enter it on the screen displayed in Athento. After clicking the button or entering the code, Athento will confirm your device. If any of the login details change (web browser, operating system or IP address), you will receive the verification email again.
Do not resend this e-mail, do not provide the numerical code or the URL address to third parties.
Troubleshooting
I don't recognize the login details in the email
Do not click and email us at soporte@athento.com with a screenshot of the verification email.
My IP address, Browser and login date and time are correct, but not the platform.
Make sure you do not have the browser console open and are browsing responsively, as your browser will act as if you are browsing from another device. Disable this option if required, by clicking where the arrow indicates.
